Mentor Blogs

Mentor Blog #1: Zoella.Co.Uk

This blog was created by popular YouTube personality Zoe Sugg. Zoella.Co.Uk is a highly rated lifestyle blog with a team of content creators that upload on the blog along with Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter. Right off the bat on the home page, I like that they link their instagram page that shows all of their most recent posts. As you scroll under they also have the most recent log posts that include an array of different topics such as their new favorite recipe, and style tips. I also like that they categorize all of the topics under different folders so it makes it easier to navigate all of the different posts.

Mentor Blog #2: MinimalistBaker.Com

The Minimalist Baker blog was created by Dana Shultz and is devoted to celebrating simple cooking. The most admirable part of the blog is that it stays true to its name and is designed as a truly minimalist platform. There are no extravagant graphics or colors because the pictures speak for themselves. With one glance, the pictures immediately make you want to read about and try the recipe just by their looks. One nice feature that is also included is that they have labels for gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, and dairy-free recipes. When you click on the recipes they include the health benefits and even link sources that fact-check their information which is extremely useful.

Mentor Blog #3: ModestMira.Blogspot.Com

Modest Mira is a fashion and style blog that is based in Edinburgh, Scotland. There are many great things about this blog that make it mentor worthy, however, the best part about the blog in my opinion is how Mira formats her posts. Unlike other blogs that upload their posts as an article, Mira complies her post into a magazine-style format that is really creative and fun. On the home page I like that she has a slide show graphic that allows the readers to click through the most recent posts, without having to navigate through the entire website. This blog is convenient, stylish, and extremely creative.
