UNIT 2

 

This was by far my favorite unit of the year. I felt that I was truly able to voice a lot of my opinions in my writing, and expand my analytical abilities through the assignments we had to write, watch, or read about.

In my reflection on Tough Guise 2, I talk about what it means to redefine masculinity. 

In my blog post about the two op-docs I watched, All Her Dying Lovers and Birth Control Your Own Adventure, I discovered that I unintentionally discovered two short documentaries about the tropes of femininity. 

In The New Yorker cover analysis I put my analysis skills to the test and look through every single detail of my cover. I make assumptions about what the details could be about and the underlying message the author, Barry Blitt, was trying to get across. 

And finally, in my unit two essay I analyze Banksy's art piece "Stop and Search" and find connections between art and activism.
